An Oklahoma City nursing home owner has been ordered to pay $1.6 million by a federal jury after he fraudulently transferred money from his nursing home’s bank account in order to avoid paying two prior court judgments, according to the Associated Press.

From AP:

The jury decided that Ron E. Lusk of Dallas, Texas, former owner of Quail Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, must use his personal funds to pay the judgments.

The Oklahoman reports that one of the earlier judgments involved $1.21 million that was awarded to three daughters of a woman who was video recorded being abused at the Quail Creek nursing home. The victim’s family sued for mental and physical abuse.

According to KFOR, Lusk relocated to Texas. Attorneys Kevin Coffey and Paul Harris have hired attorneys in that state to track Lusk down and get him to pay.
