Social Security Q&A: You Must Repay Disability Benefits to Avoid Auto Filing for Full Retirement

The Q&A posted earlier today contained a reference to an interpretation of Social Security’s provisions that is no longer in force. It mentioned withdrawing retirement benefits at full retirement age. But now, according to the new interpretation, all disabled workers reaching full retirement age are forced to file for their retirement benefits unless they repay all disability benefits they ever received.
